Year 6

This half term in Year 6 our topic is:

Crime and Punishment

 

During  our topic, we will be learning about crime and punishment during history and how things have changed and what has stayed the same.  This will link to other history topics that the children have completed in previous years, showing what crime and punishment was like in Roman, Saxon, Tudor and Victorian times.  We will compare what has changed and what has changed the same.      

Our English will  be writing a suspense narrative based on a short film called Francis and also a linked diary.  We will also be reading 'The Man Who Walked Between Two Towers' and completing writing based on this.  

In Science, we will be learning about the circulatory system.  The children will learn about the how the heart works and how blood travels through the body.  

In Maths, we will be completing statistics and then moving on to Geometry- properties of shapes and Geometry - position and direction. We will also be completing some revision in preparation for the KS2 SATs.
