Toilet Training Expectation
At Lakeside Primary Academy Nursery, maintaining a safe, hygienic, and well-managed learning environment is our top priority. To ensure this standard is upheld, all children must be fully toilet trained before they can attend nursery.
Before starting nursery, your child must:
Be able to recognise when they need the toilet.
Be able to use the toilet independently, including wiping and washing hands thoroughly.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Consideration
We fully recognise that some children may have diagnosed Special Educational Needs (SEN) that affect their ability to be toilet trained. In such cases, the following requirements must be met:
Documentation: Parents or carers must provide formal documentation of the child’s SEN.
Care Plan: Upon receipt of appropriate documentation, a personalised care plan will be developed in collaboration with parents, carers, and relevant professionals. This ensures that appropriate support, resources, and procedures are in place to meet the child’s toileting needs safely and respectfully.
Meals and Snacks
Hot meals are available where offered.
The charge for a hot meal is £2.64 per day
Meals must be pre-booked and paid in advance via ParentPay
Children receive a daily snack as part of their session.
Where applicable, families may make a voluntary contribution towards snack provision.
