Tax Free Childcare

If you work over 16 hours per week on average paid inline or above the National Minimum wage and earn less than £100k per year, you may be entitled to Tax Free Childcare.

For every 80p you pay for registered childcare the Government will give you 20p (up to £2,000 per year)

This can be used for our Nursery, Breakfast & Afterschool clubs.

Please be aware, you CANNOT claim this as well as Tax credits, Universal credit, childcare vouchers. Applying for Tax free childcare at the same as claiming these benefits will stop them automatically.

It can be used alongside the 15/30 hours free funded hours for Nursery.

It only takes a few minutes to apply. You need to create a childcare account on the government website and enter some details regarding your household income.

Once your account is open, you can find Lakeside Primary Academy as a registered childcare provider and select this as an organisation you wish to use.

An example: You can top-up your account with £8, the government will then add £2 to this. You can then make payment to Lakeside of £10 which can be applied to your ParentPay account towards the childcare costs you use with us.

This can be used for children 0-11years
