This half term Y3 are focusing on the big question-
What do The Flintstones do in their Yabba-Dabba-Do time?
We are going to be finding out about changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age this half term. Through discussion, we will look at how we know what things were like so long ago and find out about various aspect of Early Brition life including shelter, hunting, cave art and communication. We will also be exploring pitch in Music through listening to music from China to celebrate Chinese New Year and continuing to learn French.
In English, we are exploring many exciting texts including ‘How to wash a woolly mammoth’ by Michelle Robinson and we will be writing a letter describing what living in The Stone Age is like. We will also focus on the comic strip style text ‘The Stone Age' by Marcia Willaims to help us develop our knowledge and write an information text.
In Maths we will be continuing our focus on the four operations; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We will also be focusing on getting quicker with times tables and learning some new ones including x4 and x8.
We would like to thank all the families for their support and all the home learning completed during the Autumn Terms. We would love to see any home learning you do this half term. This can be handed to your teacher or shared on Class Dojo.
