Year 6 (UKS2)
Welcome to the Year 6 Website Page
This half term our big question is:
'Are all crimes committed by criminals?'
We will be looking at crime during the past and how this has affected the way that punishments are given during the current time. Towards the end on the topic, the children will be choosing one of the periods in time to write a crime report about.
The children will be spending time learning how to use their iPad. This could be in any area of the curriculum, so please ensure that their iPad is in school everyday and charged ready to use.
Year 6 have PE on Mondays and Fridays- children need to come in school in their PE kit.
Reminder that PE kit is plain white T-Shirt, plain black shorts, tracksuit bottoms or leggings, thier school jumper or cardigan (green or purple) and trainers.
We expect children to read at home daily and they will receive Dojos for each time they read.
Home learning is handed out at the beginning of the half term. We are happy to accept these at the end of the half term but if the children wish to hand them in during the term that is also fine. The children receive dojos for each piece of home learning that they complete. As the children have all got an iPad, we are asking them to complete their home learning on Seesaw. They can either complete it directly on Seesaw, use another app and then upload this to Seesaw or take a picture of the work that they have completed. If they need a piece of paper to complete any of the homework, please ask their class teacher.
Our Class Dojo focus for this half term is: Enjoying exciting learning together
